Recipe for Fruit Flapjacks

Fruit Flapjacks

125g butter or margarine
100g dark brown soft sugar
4 tablespoons golden syrup
250g rolled oates
40g sultanas or raisins

Preparation: 15 min  

Cooking time: 30min

1. Preheat the oven to 180C, gas mark 4.

2. Lightly grease a 20cm square baking tin.

3. In a large saucepan over a low heat, combine the butter, brown sugar and golden syrup. Cook, stirring until the butter and sugar are melted Stir in the oats and sultanans until fully combined. Pour into the prepared tin. The mixture should be 2-3cm thick.

4. Bake for 30min in the preheated oven until the top is golden brown. Cut into squares, leave to cool completely before removing from the tin.
