Festival announces sponsors for 2017

The Festival is proud to announce our sponsors for 2017. These are a well-established company in food and drink, Wadworth, and a new business involved in storage, Country Green Storage.

Wadworth has been a major business in Devizes and its name is almost synonymous with that of the town. Although centred in Devizes, brewing real beer since 1875, its reach goes beyond Wiltshire with the vast estate of town and country pubs. Wadworth will be playing a full part in the festival (see programme) and have expressed great pleasure in supporting our community event.

Visit the Wadworth website

Country Green Storage opened in 2016 and provide affordable, flexible, secure and protected storage for business and personal use and are conveniently located on The Common, Bromham, just minutes away from many local towns and villages. Their holistic approach to storage encompasses all your storage and service needs from sign and store to personal Country Green post boxes.

Come dine Saturday 6th May 2017

Forget about the television programme with a similar name; 'Come Dine With Us' is not like that. There will be no nosing around the bedrooms and knicker drawers between courses! Rather, it is a great night out hosted by aspiring chefs. They might not do fine dining, although some might have a go, but they will produce a well-considered menu, which they are confident will work.
The guests, usually six or eight, are typically interesting and, hopefully, reasonably lively. Expect a welcome cocktail, a splendid three or four course meal and some good-humour, mingled with intelligent conversation. You will also get to know new people.
Bring a bottle of wine or other drink of choice, relax and enjoy the evening. It is far more entertaining than a restaurant and, at £20 per person, a far lower cost. This is a wonderful way to start the festival. The photographs are from recent events.

Details on being a host can be found here.

We are working on our programme of events for 2017. This year, we will cover over 2 weeks starting with a new event on Friday 5th May involving gin appreciation, followed swiftly by 'Come dine with us' on 6th May. The Market (which is going to be great again this year) will be on the 13th May and we have two brand new events on 20th May. Return fixtures from Erlestoke Prison, the Bistro, Vaughan's Cookery School and many others. Full details soon.
