A three-course dinner, with choices at each course, cooked and served in HMP Erlestoke by offenders and the prison catering team – a rare opportunity for offenders to put their City and Guilds training to the test. Guests will be seated with staff and Friends of Erlestoke charity.
Book by 2nd September to allow for vetting. Names and contact details of ticket holders will be passed to the prison, and guests contacted re menu choices and security procedures. No alcohol permitted, soft drinks provided.

Lance Piggott of organic wine specialist Vintage Roots will present tasters of 6 anonymous, unlabelled wines, and give three possible descriptions for each. Only one description per wine will be correct. Teams of 4 are challenged to spot the truth. Substantial nibbles will be served, and the winning team will go home with a lovely wine prize.

Like a cooking challenge? Come and join a scratch team to make a delicious dessert from surprise ingredients, while one of the excellent cooks who volunteers at Opendoors whips up a delectable main dish from ingredients selected by one of the attendees.
Devizes Opendoors provides food and support for homeless and vulnerable people. The volunteer cooks usually use ingredients that are donated or obtained at bargain price, so they are brilliant at this sort of creative challenge, and look forward to seeing what you come up with too. Join us for chat with Joe Woodhouse, chef, food photographer, author and (almost) lifetime vegetarian. He is lauded amongst colleagues – including Nigella Lawson and Anna Jones – for being one of the best vegetarian chefs in the business. His work has featured in The Guardian, The Observer, New Yorker and Bon Appétit.
Joe will talk about his latest book “The Weeknight Vegetarian”. Tea, coffee and tasters using Joe’s recipes will be provided.
